About Your Librarian

Hello! I’m Ms. Rudder, the librarian at Carroll High School. My undergraduate is from University of Texas and my graduate degree, in Library Science, is from University of North Texas. I have been in education since 1987 and I have been a Carroll Dragon librarian since 2007.

Books provide us with mirrors, windows and doors. Mirrors to see ourselves and our own experiences, windows to view other lives, and doors to walk through and live in another world with the characters. I love connecting students with books that will allow them to see another’s point of view, to experience a life different from their own, and an opportunity to dive into the magic of reading.
